Plus, you never know how cold/warm an office is, so it’s a great idea to keep a cardigan or something similar at your desk anyway to provide a more comfortable atmosphere/temp for you to work in!

I also agree re: internships. I had a series of awesome internships (very hands-on) and they were THE reason that I got my first job out of school, as I could tell the interviewer “I’ve done this before”.

I was lucky to have several in my college days. The clothing part was always my biggest challenge. Tip for the ladies: Invest in an array of short and long-sleeved cardigans. Your seemingly modest sleeveless or strappy sundress could be considered “unprofessional.”
